What is a Choice Code in MHT CET?
A Choice Code in MHT CET is a unique 9-digit format assigned to every specific course at a specific college. It typically represents the institute code, the course code, and the shift or status. You need this exact code when filling out your CAP option form to avoid mistakes.
How many options can I fill in CAP Round 1?
You can fill a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 300 options in your CAP Round 1 option form. It is highly recommended to fill a realistic number of choices to ensure you secure an allotment, mixing ambitious, moderate, and safe backup colleges.
What is the difference between TFWS and General Choice Codes?
TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme) choice codes are distinct from general choice codes. TFWS seats offer a tuition fee waiver for eligible students with family income below the specified limit (currently 8 lakh/year). Being allotted a regular seat under the EWS category does not grant a tuition waiver; you must specifically apply for and be allotted a TFWS choice code to get the fee waiver.
Can I change my preference list in Round 2?
Yes, if you select the Float or Slide option after Round 1, or if you were not allotted any seat, you can edit and rearrange your preference list before CAP Round 2. However, if you are allotted your very first (#1) preference in Round 1, it is usually auto-frozen and you cannot participate in subsequent rounds.
